At Maoke Travel we are committed to protecting your privacy and processing your personal data responsibly, in compliance with Law 1581 of 2012, Decree 1074 of 2015 and other Colombian data protection regulations. This policy describes who is responsible for your data, what information we collect, for what purpose, how we protect it and what rights you have over it. By using our website, hiring our services or authorizing the processing, you accept the practices described in this document.

Information we collect
We collect the information you provide directly when you fill out contact forms, use the travel assistant, request quotes for experiences or transport, book a tour or chat with our virtual assistant. This may include your name, email, phone or WhatsApp number, company or agency, travel dates and number of travelers, travel preferences and the details of your request. We also automatically collect technical information, such as your IP address, browser type, pages visited and time on site, through web analytics tools.
Purpose of processing
We use your personal data to answer your questions, prepare proposals and quotes, manage bookings and the operation of the tourism services you hire (experiences, guides and transport), and contact you by WhatsApp, phone or email about your request. With your authorization, we may also use it to send you commercial information, news and activities from Maoke Travel. We also use aggregated, anonymous data to improve our website, analyze usage trends and optimize the user experience.
Protecting your data
We implement appropriate technical, human and administrative measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or destruction. This includes secure connections (HTTPS), storage on protected servers and access restricted to staff who need the information to do their job.
Transfers to third parties
Under the authorization you grant, MAOKE TRAVEL S.A.S. may transfer and transmit your data to third-party recipients, such as web hosting and database providers, analytics, communication tools (including WhatsApp), the artificial intelligence provider that processes the messages you write to our virtual assistant, the Wompi payment gateway and the providers involved in operating your trip, for the purposes described in this policy. We choose providers with adequate data protection standards and share only the minimum necessary information. We never sell or rent your personal data.
Your rights as data subject
As the data subject, and under article 8 of Law 1581 of 2012, you have the right to: know, update and correct your personal data; request proof of the authorization granted; be informed about how your data has been used; file complaints with the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce for violations of the law; and revoke the authorization or request deletion of your data when legal principles, rights and guarantees have not been respected. We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. We will publish any change on this page with its update date. We recommend reviewing it periodically.
